This beautiful picture was shot on the NorthSea Rotterdam 2006, by Guus Quaedvlieg. I’m playing the chapi, wich is basically a garden-tool (a hoe), but in Curaçao also a full-blown percussion-instrument. It is used in traditional tambú-music.

Deze mooie foto is genomen op het NorthSea Rotterdam 2006, door Guus Quaedvlieg. Ik speel hier de chapi, wat een origineel tuingereedschap is (een hak), maar in Curaçao geldt dit tuingereedschap als een volwaardig percussie-instrument. Het wordt gebruikt in de traditionele tambú-muziek.
